Article 3344 (15 more) in rec.arts.disney:
From: sac@ASDI.SAIC.COM (Steve A. Conroy x6172)
Subject: Snow White Trivia: Dwarf Names
Date: 10 Sep 91 16:14:48 GMT
Lines: 32

Hello fellow Disney netters!

I was reading through a nice book I bought (great discount!) a while
back called "The Art of Disney" and came across one of Disney's first
lists of possible characters for the dwarfs in "Snow White." These
come from the minutes of a brainstorming meeting on August 9, 1934:

Scrappy Woeful Sappy
Happy Doleful Flabby
Hoppy Wistful Crabby
Sleepy Soulful Daffy
Weepy Helpful Tearful
Dirty Bashful Gaspy
Cranky Awful Busy
Sneezy Snoopy Dizzy
Sneezy-Wheezy Goopy Snappy
Hungry Gabby Hotsy
Lazy Blabby Jaunty
Grumpy Silly Puffy
Dumpy Dippy Strutty
Thrifty Graceful Biggy
Nifty Neurtsy Biggy-Wiggy
Shifty Gloomy Biggo-Ego
Jumpy Chesty

Notice that Doc and Dopey haven't appeared at this point.

Enjoy!

By the way, on another topic, what do you think about look and feel
lawsuits? Do you think it is a good thing for interfaces to be
copyrighted?

honor (Andrew John Cassidy):

To be true to one's self is the ultimate test in life. To have the
courage and the sensitivity to follow your hidden dreams and stand tall
against the odds that are bound to fall in your path. Life is too short
and precious to be dealt with in any other fashion. This thought I hold
dear to my heart and I always try to be true to myself and others that I
encounter along the way.
--- Flo Hyman

Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. People grow old by
deserting their ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up
interest wrinkles the soul. In the central place of every heart, there
is a recording chamber; so long as it receives the messages of beauty,
hope, cheer and courage, so long are you young. When the wires are all
down and your heart is covered with the snows of pessimism and the ice
of cynicism, then, and then only, are you grown old.
