I still don't get it... /etc/srvtab shouldn't readable anyway, unless the ca daemon is run as root (please tell me it's not). and if you do a stat, you should be able to ditch devices. What's wrong with checking the contents of .plan for a binary? (so, tell me, if I copy, say, /usr/bin/X/emacs to my .plan what will happen?)
