PEE-WEE's PAST: Pee-wee Herman's indecent exposure arrest in
Sarasota, Fla., wasn't his first run-in with police around a porno
theater. Herman, whose real name is Paul Reubens, also was charged with
loitering and prowling near Sarasota's Triple-X South Trail Adult
Theater in 1983 but the misdemeanors were dropped later by prosecutors.
He is out on bail and now faces an Aug. 9 court date after an undercover
police saw him allegedly masturbating during a movie. Herman's bizarre
kid television show already had been dropped by CBS and network
officials met Monday to determine if they wanted to go ahead with plans
to show reruns.
