Beth- you shoulda used the NCD terminals. They were faster and less buggy (although I could crash those, too :-). All- As to restricting the list, I don't see why. Plan files are for exporting. That's their job in life. If this was a normal timesharing system (yeah, yeah, I know it isn't) I could write a trivial script (in perl ;-) to give me all readable plan files. CA is a service which allows that on Athena. And you don't need to find the ``right people'' to make your .plan not show up: you only need to chmod 600 it. So you can control its distribution. Eventually, I'll get around to writing a fingerd which does the right thing with .plan files on NFS, and it will be possible to see .plan files externally as well, so .plan files at athena really will be like plan files everywhere else.
