dschmidt (Dan Schmidt):
I saw her in the park, she was underdressed
In a pair of cowboy boots and a silver vest
She didn't seem to notice that I was around
She didn't make a movement, she only made a sound
All she did was hum, hum, hum
All she did was hum in answer to me
And as she hummed she seemed to look right through me
Did she view me, or was I obstructing something?
Hum, hum, hum
But her eyes said ``I want you to woo me
And eventually undo me
My heart's roomy, and there's plenty of room for you.''
I emptied out my pockets, and offered them to her
I thought she'd really like them, but she didn't stir
She kept on humming through me, as if I weren't there
So I walked up to her and I returned her stare
But all she did was hum, hum, hum
All she did was hum in answer to me
And as she hummed she seemed to look right through me
Did she view me, or was I obstructing something?
Hum, hum, hum
But her eyes said ``I want you to woo me
And eventually undo me
My heart's roomy, and there's plenty of room for you.''
But as I kissed her on the lips
I saw she had something to hide
Cause she split in two from her head to her hips
She was hollow with a skeleton inside
So I stepped inside her, and she did the rest
Now her body's whole again and I'm in her chest
I haven't said a word since then, but I think that's okay
When no one's listening, there isn't much to say
So all I do is hum, hum, hum
But it isn't really all that gloomy
I think it was a good thing she did to me
Though she slew me, I'm happier more than ever
Hum, hum, hum
And I'm not the same as when you knew me
You should come and pay a visit to me
Cause she's roomy, and there's plenty of room for you
You'll come and join me too
It's something you ought to do
You'll be happy as a clam.

jcbourne (Juliet C Bourne):
Sing me a song. Tell me a love story.
Let me fall asleep happy. Just one night.
I don't want to cry myself to sleep again.
Sing me a lullaby. Tell me your life story.
Let me dream sweet dreams. Just one night.
I don't want to wake up alone. Again.
I don't want to wake up.
Alone.
Again.

knoedler (Kevin C Knoedler):
My plan is very straightforward. I plan to take over the world.
Going city by city, country by country I will gain control of
all business and government. Once this is accomplished the
very wasteful mess of war can be done away with. With Kevin
in control all would be better. I would eliminate poverty,
improve communications, stop enviromental destruction, and
expand the human race into space. This in turn would make
everyone in the entire world happy. If you have any
suggestions in helping me do this, send them to:

Thoughts for the day:
The best thing about growing older is that it takes such a long time.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To speak of many things.
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax,
Of cabbages and kings,
And why the sea is boiling hot,
and whether pigs have wings."
Plan? Plan? Who needs plans? I don't have no stinking plan....

Tech is Hell.
THIS LIFE IS A TEST. IT IS ONLY A TEST. HAD THIS BEEN
A REAL LIFE, YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS ON
WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO.

EXISTENTIALISM
explained in words of one syllable
The good news is that God is dead. The bad news is that this means that
life does not mean much at all. But this is no cause for gloom and
doom. In fact, you must not think of death, doom or gloom at all, but
life, which is all you've got. If you think good thoughts, then life is
good (for you). The good news is that you do not have to take crap
from chaps who tell you what to do or think. You can tell them to piss
off. The bad news is that they make you feel like hell. God may be
dead but hell is not. "Not fair!" you may say, in which case, you have
got the point. And if you can be like the man who rolled a stone to the
top of a hill and when he got it there it fell back down to the foot of
it once more, and then he had to start to roll it back up once more and
so on all his life, if you can be like him and still have a laugh, that
is as much as you can hope for.

therese (Suntioinen Therese M.):
Go placidly among the noise and haste, remember what peace
there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with with all persons. Speak your truth
quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and
ignorant, they too have their story - Avoid loud and aggressive
persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare
yourself with others, there will be greater and lesser persons
than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans -
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a
real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise
caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of
trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere, life is full
of heroism - Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity
and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass - Take kindly
to the counsel of they years, gracefully surrending the things
of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden
misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome
discipline, be gentle with yourself - You are a child of the
universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right
to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the
universe is unfolding as it should - Therefore be at peace with
God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors
and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with
your soul - With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is
still a beautiful world. Be careful, strive to be happy.
