Well, there are always songs like "Always Something There to Remind Me", (is that the title? well, it's the first line of the chorus, anyway...) in which the singer is presumably not attached, and is singing about a relationship which is in the past tense. I always thought that was a neat song, in that Wedding Bells were made to sound depressing. :-)
