celine (Robert Fullmer):

Software entities are more complex for their size than perhaps any other human
construct because no two parts are alike. If they are, we make the two
similar parts into a subroutine -- open or closed. In this respect, software
systems differ profoundly from computers, buildings, or automobiles, where
repeated elements abound.
- Fred Brooks, Jr.

rlcarr (Animato):

One, two, three, four....

Ride, ride my seesaw.
Take this place on this trip just for me.
Ride, take a free ride.
Take my place, have my seat, it's for free.
I worked like a slave for years.
Sweat so hard just to end my fears,
Not to end my life with elan.
But by now I know I should have run.

Run, run my life's race.
Take my place, have this number I found.
Run, run like a fire.
Don't you run in, in the lanes, one more time.

Let's go where the finch flies past.
Started work but a second class.
School talk, one and one is two.
But by now that answer just ain't true.

Ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah-ahhhhhh.
Ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah-ah-ahhhhhh.

[instrumental interlude]

My world is spinning around.
Everything is lost that I've found.
People run, come ride with me.
Let's find another place that's free.

Ride, ride my seesaw.
Take this place on this trip just for me.
Ride, take a free ride.
Take my place, have my seat, it's for free.
Ride my seesaw.
Ride, ride.
Ride my seesaw.
Ride my seesaw.
Ride my seesaw.

tytso (Theodore Y. Ts'o):

The most important thing in relationships, be it romantic, friendship,
or otherwise, is to respect each other, and to treasure their gift of
love to you.

For to love someone is to allow yourself to be vulnerable, because you
have accepted in your heart that they would never harm you intentionally,
and if misunderstandings did occur, to believe unquestioningly that
they would sacrifice their pride, attempt to heal any wounds,
before allowing your pain to florish...the concept of just ignoring
some misunderstanding in hopes it goes away becomes utterly foreign.

I guess it comes down to that old wonderful moral, treating others
as you would like to be treated, yourself.
