Well, let'em wonder what my childhood was like. I have no use for
religion of any form and I sure don't want my children (if and when
I have any) to feal they owe any allegiance to some Supreme Being
or those who claim to know what said Supreme Being wants.

Also, considering how Christians love to preach about tolerance,
using the " 'hey we're the good guys, therefore they're the bad guys' "
approach leaves one hell (:-) of a lot to be desired.

And don't accuse me of having an axe to grind as if it's some derogatory
thing. Because I do have an axe to grind. I personally think religion
while good in theory, is lousy in execution and carries far more weight
than it deserves. Would I like to see less religion on this planet? Yes.
Am I going to interfere with you practicing yours as long as it doesn't
force me to go along with it? No.

[by the way - I am NOT the person paulj was responding to, but I figured
I'd jump in anyway - also, shouldn't this be moved elsewhere? CA is more
of a "fun" group than a "heavy" group. I suggest Everybody is the most
appropriate of the existing groups, although this doesn't quite fit their
either.]

[and sorry for errors - is there a way to have discuss call an editor to
 write transactions?]
