alchen (Alice L Chen):

Right now, I can't think of anything to put in my .plan, so I guess this will just be a temporary .plan until I think of something. However, knowing me, this will probably end up being my real .plan!!! Anyway, here goes:

Hello! My name is Alice Chen, and I'm a very confused freshman at MIT. You can get in touch with my state of confusion by emailing me at alchen@athena.mit.edu. Even better, send me real mail! I LOVE real mail [hint hint]! My address and phone number at MIT is:

                  Alice Chen
                  McCormick Hall, Room 227
                  320 Memorial Drive
                  Cambridge, MA 02139
                  (617) 225-9108

If you want to, you can reach me at my home address during the summer:

                  3875 South 500 West
                  South Whitley, IN 46787
                  (219) 723-4766

Please ignore the following for now... I'm in the process of adding stuff to my .plan, and it's a tad messy now :(

                     THE SWING OF THINGS

                          by a-ha

They say the world's an eventful place
           You give me news
           I don't want to know
You say that I should care
that I should speak my mind

Oh, but how can I speak of the world rushing by
With a lump in my throat
           and tears in my eyes
Have we come to the point of no turning back
or is it still time to get into
           the swing of things

Let us walk through this windless city
I'll go on till the winter gets me
"Sleep ..." you wrote "sleep my dear"
           in a letter somewhere

Oh, but how can I sleep with your voice in my head
           and an ocean between us
           and room in my bed
Have I come to the point where I'm losing my grip
or is it still time to get into
           the swing of things

When she glows in the dark
and I'm weak by the sight
           of this breathtaking beauty
           in which I can hide
There is a worldful out there
           of people I fear
but given time I'll get into
           the swing of things

Yes, when she glows in the dark and I'm struck by the sight
I know that I'll need this for the rest of my life

           What have I done
           What lies I have told
I've played games with the ones that rescued my soul
Have I come to the point where I'm losing the grip
or is it still time to get into
           the swing of things

                       BIZARRE LOVE TRIANGE

                           by New Order

Every time I think of you
I feel a shot right through in the kdjfkjdi
It's no problem of mine but it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind

There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
           And it's what nobody knows
Well every day my confusion grows

Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You say the words that I can't say

I feel fine and I feel good
I'm feeling like I never should
Whenever I get this way I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday?

I'm not sure what this could mean
           I don't think you're what you seem
I do admit to myself that if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be

No one can accuse Oklahoma City Police of neglecting their duties, although
some may question their powers of observation. Over three days, the police
ticketed an illegally parked car seven times. But the cops who lifted the
windshield wiper to stick the tickets on the window failed to see the man
slumped over the dashboard. Finally, a passerby noticed the man and called the
police. This time the cops opened up the car and got the man out. He had
been dead the entire time.

Father in heav'n who lovest all,
	O help thy children when they call;
That they may build from age to age
	An undefiled heritage.

Teach us to bear the yoke in youth,
	With steadfastness and careful truth;
That in our time thy grace may give
The truth whereby the nations live.

Teach us to look in all our ends
	On thee for judge, and not our friends;
That we, with thee, may walk uncowed
By fear or favour of the crowd.

Teach us the strength that cannot seek,
	By deed or thought, to hurt the weak;
That, under thee, we may possess
Man's strength to comfort man's distress.

Teach us delight in simple things,
	And mirth that has no bitter springs;
	Forgiveness free of evil done
And love to all men 'neath the sun.

                    Charlie, not on the MTA
                    by Laurie Mann <lmann@jjhome.uucp>

Let me tell you a story
'bout a man named Charlie
On this famous, and fateful day,
Took his car into Boston,
Shot his wife and himself
So they wouldn't too look hard his way!

CHORUS
Did he ever get caught,
No he never got caught!
'Cause he told such an artful lie,
Said they both got shot
By a black man in Boston,
And everybody said ``What a poor guy.''

Charlie picked up his car phone
To call the cop dispatcher
Asked to send help to Mission Hill.
Said his wife was unconscious,
And he was lost and bleeding
Said a black man had been in on the kill.

CHORUS
Did he ever get caught,
No he never got caught!
'Cause he told such an artful lie,
Said they both got shot
By a black man in Boston,
And everybody said ``What a brave guy.''

``Round the black men up.''
Called the cops in Boston,
``One of them did this awful crime.''
But the Stuart boys knew
Their big brother was a killer
And they lied for him the whole time.

CHORUS
Did he ever get caught,
No he never got caught!
'Cause he told such an artful lie,
Said they both got shot
By a black man in Boston,
And everybody said ``What a sad guy.''

Finally Matt Stuart broke,
And he had to see the cops,
He told Charlie he had to tell.
Charlie hated being found out,
Couldn't deal with a trial,
So off the Tobin Bridge he fell

CHORUS
Did he ever get caught,
ALMOST never got caught!
'Cause he told such an artful lie,
Said they both got shot
By a black man in Boston,
And everybody said ``What a BAD guy.''
