What is the rest of the song like? I have the "best of ELP" CD, which, as
I noted, only has "1st Impression, Part 2" of the song. How is the rest of
it? Also, do you have any corections to the lyrics - I doubt my transcription
"right before your eyes you'll hear laughter from the skies" is correct, but
I just can't figure out what it really is.
Does the rest of the song follow up on the circus/carnival theme (from which
I assume the title derives: carnival -> Karn Evil (or am I hosed on that))?
On a different note, why ar lyrics that come with albums never completely
right. The Wall is a great example of this, even including the words to a
non-existent song. And my _Tommy_ CD's have a number of mistakes in the
printed lyrics - and it's not a matter of ambiguous pronunciations. The
mistakes are quite clear.
