All right, all right. I had to estivate in a cluster today to
escape the heat in any case. So I hacked the necessary utilities to ease
the creation of monochrome dumps from video and color windows.
attach pictures
add /mit/pictures/vaxbin to the path
Start video window
xwd -nobdrs | vidx | xpand -s 2 | xmono > file.root.x11 &
It take a few minutes, but is conceptually much cleaner than the earlier
version. Plus it requires no human clicking after the first dump.
