capsalad (Dave Schulman):
To do everything three times
To do everything three times
To do everything three times
To do everything thr... oh no
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
edyamp (Ed Yampratoom):
Awakening abruptly to the foreign taste of the dog's foot in his mouth,
an untimely interruption to an erotic dream which was an extension of
the previous evening's late-night movie, McBrawley's forearm propelled
the animal in an unplanned trajectory toward the Playboy calendar tacked
above the door, barely missing the petite blond intruder who had
originally startled the animal, but fatefully causing poochie to
intercept the bullet from her gun which would have otherwise ended this
and all future dreams.

elander (Eric S. Lander):
In Xanadu did Kubla Khan
a stately pleasure dome decree
where Alph the sacred river ran
through caverns measureless to man
down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
with walls and towers were girded round
and here were forests bright with sinuous rills
where blossomed many an incense bearing tree
And here were forests ancient as the hills
enfolding sunny spots of greenery.

reuven (Reuven M. Lerner):
xcSummer .plans are coming together!
For fun: I'll spend four weeks as a counselor in Israel
at the Conservative movement's Ramah-NOAM camp!
Wow! Whoopee!
For profit: For the second summer in a row, I will enter
data and write programs for my uncle's
weather insurance company (that's right;
*weather* insurance!).
-------
But before I can do that, I have to do well in 6.001,
8.02, 18.02, and 21.782. Oh, well. Back to reality.

tjcoppet (Tom Coppeto):
From someone with a good perspective on life at MIT:
Sigh... I never thought of such losses as "failing the test", since
that always seemed an arbitrary label. Only looking at the test as a
part of the overall coursework makes sense. If you were within two
standard deviations of class, then its no big deal unless you're
shooting for an A (and that was rarely, if ever a problem for me).
Below that there is reason to be concerned, but it's probably not that
bad. Besides just think of it. In just over 2 years you won't have
worry about silly things like test and instead can go get depressed in
the real world instead.
