celine (Adam Weishaupt):
Wow, sometimes I really almost have a real desire to divest myself (as
if this were even possible) of the beliefs I have rationally
ascertained from the evidence presented by the world. I am sure that
I would be happier, but at the same time, happiness honestly isn't the
bottom line for me. At the same time, if I believed differently, I
might be able to permit myself to meet and talk to women I am
interested in... but so much for wishful thinking.
Is this a classical case of the superego gone stark raving mad? I
only wish it were so simple...

cheshire (Mary Vogt):
I am friend to the undertow
I take you in, I don't let go
And now I have you

dachurch (Douglas A. Church):
Walking around with your head in the clouds
makes no sense at all
You look so short but you're walking so tall
makes no sense at all
Makes no difference at all
makes no sense at all
- "Makes No Sense At All", Husker Du, _Flip Your Wig_

Man has two reasons for things that he does
The first one is pride and the second one is love

wchuang (William Chuang):
My life has no purpose. Had it ever one? Hedonism is probably the
way of the masses. Should I follow? Or is posterity the key? Who
knows? I don't (no comments, Rob).
The memory is presently being expunged from my mind. Shall we say
interference due to new thoughts? That might be it. But then, I
haven't seen (her) for a while. I haven't talked (to her) either. Is
that good or bad? (Rob, no comments again--you know I don't believe
in rationalization as an effective cure) But is emptiness a
withdrawal symptom?
Black, black, black, black... Is that the color? Or is that the only
clothes? (my phrasing is correct) I like it. Too far out of reach,
though (I think). I think this is a temporary filler for a sweet
tooth's cavity. Someone will gouge it out later. And maybe fill it
in, or make a bigger hole.
This sucks, but not as bad as before. As always, it could be worse,
much worse.
