Hello, Brothers,
UMOC starts a week from tomorrow and candidate publicity starts this week.
I'm looking for volunteers to help me with UMOC publicity
+ help postering
+ help me with ideas/suggestions as I've never done this before,
+ moral support :)
If you are willing to help in any way, please mail me so that I can have a list of interested people without spamming everyone beyond this message (unless
I don't get enough responses). Just reply to this e-mail with your name,
phone number, and what you're interested in helping out with (if you're
not sure, just say so and I'll come up with things).
T-shirts: I would like to have t-shirts made for UMOC this year. If you are
interested in taking charge of t-shirts, please mail me. I have 2 main
ideas on this: one is that the design will be all ready and brothers who
are interested would have to order by Wednesday morning so that we can
get shirts by next Monday (QRST can probably do this, would APO silk screening
be able to do this??). Another idea is that we will get shirts made for the
candidates as a partial incentive to run...Whoever volunteers to take charge
of this will need to look right away into the feasibility of getting shirts
done in time - I can help you!
** UMOC Theme: We need a UMOC image and slogan. Our first Tech ad will be in
this Tuesday's edition and Lokie has volunteered to draw the design, but
we need ideas! Please, if you have any, mail me by Sunday (today, now)!
One big thing I've heard is that some people don't run because they don't
want to seriously compete to be "ugly" - how can we phrase slogans to
appeal to these people??
As I said, UMOC starts a week from tomorrow and publicity for getting
candidates starts this week, so there isn't a lot of time. My main goal is to
poster like crazy with very catchy images, colors, and slogans all over campus.
T-shirts would be wonderful if it's feasible.
On a final note, it would be great if all brothers can promote UMOC in their
living groups and with their friends - both in talking to people and postering. Please start talking to people now about becoming candidates.
Thank you for reading!
Yours in Leadership, Friendship, and Service,
Marisa
