Minutes of (Chapter Meeting, October 13, 1999)
Administrative notes:

Lokie, Eric, David McIlroy, Anne Marie, Krista, Laura, Carolyn, Ari,
Sara B., Oscar, Marisa, Alan, Ellen, Jenn
Officers' reports:

SVP (Emily): We had a chapter weekend. Thank you to Ari and to
Alan. Next Sunday is Habitat. David McIlroy is PC, requests
drivers. Leaving office at 10:30pm.
MVP (Carolyn): We have pledges and brothers. Most - all except
3 - pledges have bigs. The rest will have bigs by the end of the
week. We had a pledge meeting last weeke, and there will be
one this coming week.
FC (Sara B.): Friday, Oct. 22 is SemiFormal Formal, PC'd by Lokie
and Katherine Reid. Dinner trip, then dancing and friends and
fellowship and fun. Saturday, Oct 23 is IHOP and Midnight
Bowling after Haunted House, PC'd by Shelley Duvall. Sign up
in office.
APOcEd (Ian): We have APOc's. Write articles.
ASC (Carolyn): The office is semi-clean. Clean up after yourself. I
am not your mother.
PubDir (Sara B.): We have an infinite corridor board, covered with
plastic protector sheets. If you have suggestions for what to put
there, talk to me. I am going to buy lots of paints this week, so
that we'll have some.
Treasurer (Marisa): I am not having office hours this week. You
can't vote unless you've turned in dues. Lot your long distance
calls.
Historian (Laura): Pictures were taken at CWI and at Steak Fry.
The chapter has a camera. Bring it on projects and to fellow-
ship events. There will be an upcoming project o fix the ritual
equipment.
Advisory Comm. Chair (Ellen): Hi from the advisory comm.
President (Sam): We have a chapter. We have people. We're doing
service. We're all friends. Life in APO is good.
Committee Reports:

Book Ex Report (Oscar) - If people come in asking about their books,
tell them they've been donated to charity, and the check destroyed.
Final report will be out 60 days after I wrote the checks.
ServComm (Emily) - The press - We've got leads to several blacksmiths
to reattach the safety device. Also, don't print when you're tired. We
got some ideas for possibly applying to nationals for a Youth Service
Grant. We've got some suggestions about CPR-trained brothers holding
classes for other brothers. To be discussed at ExecComm.
Old Business:

Officer installations - Oscar Rodriguez is ASC. Ari Wilkenfield is
Historian.
New Business:

Bylaw Amendments: We want to make the:
AVP -> Adminstrative
Coordinator Fellowship Chair -> Fellowship VP
ASC -> Office Manager
Oscar: Moved to approve. Susama: Seconded.
Passes 11-0-1. (10 votes were required for passage.)
Another amendment, being announced and read into the minutes now,
for discussion.

Proposed Amendment to the Bylaws of the AX Chapter of APO
Purpose: To allow exec comm to meet once instead of twice a month to leave
times for comittee meetings
Implementation:
Replace the clause:
The Executive Committee shall meet on weeks alternate with regularly
scheduled Chapter meetings during the academic year. Special meetings
of the Executive Committee may be held upon the call of the President, or
upon written request of one-third of the members of the Executive Committee.

the time for every other meeting of the Executive Committee be instead

Announcements:

Advisory Comm. Chair (Ellen): There will be a combined regions
1 and 2 conference in December, people should go.
President (Sam): People can still decide to go to Conclave, tell me
by Friday, it will cost $45. I guarantee it will be very very cool.
ASC (Carolyn): Keep the office clean. We're going to auction off
some old D&D books from the office, if no one objects.
