CHAPTER WEEKEND ONE IS COMING!!!!
Chapter weekend one is when we go out to a scout camp,
have a lot of fun and fix (and/or destroy things). We need to
get RSVPs soon so we can tell them if we have enough people for the
big projects and so we know how many cars, food, etc we need...
There's a signup in the office, or write me back :)
Information:
Time: Friday night October 8th through Sunday October 10th. We'll
arrange transport for people who only can go for part of it of course,
so in addition to whether they're coming, we need to know the earliest
people can come up and the latest they can leave
Where: Camp Resolute (about an hour drive)
What: Possible Service projects at the moment include
-Smashing up tent bases and hauling them off in dump trucks
-Building canoe racks
-clearing brush
-painting
-possibly others
We'll also have standard camping stuff like marshmallows and singing and
(of course) cards. I'm trying to arrange for us to be able to go through
their new Ropes Course on Saturday.
We also need a sub-PC in charge of transportation. It involves calling
people on the transport list and seeing if they can drive then assigning
people to cars. And we need to know of any food restrictions (Sara Pickett
is sub-PC in charge of food).
