couch destruction!

in the proud tradition of learning and practicing useful skills while
providing service to the community, we will be destroying a few couches
tomorrow evening in the east campus courtyard. we have the space from
5-9pm, so the excitement will likely start around 5:30pm or so. food
will also make an appearance (with the aid of the barbeque pits).
as a piece of background, the couches that are being destroyed used to
belong to fenway house. although they are still structurally in good
shape, the cats of fenway weren't able to differentiate between these
couches and their litter box. attempts to get rid of the smell have
failed; instead, the couches tend to spread their smell to fill the
enclosed spaces they occupy. (reason number 2 why this event is happening
outside. :) the fenway residents have given up all hope of making these
couches usable for anyone with a sense of smell, and have donated the couches
to apo for us to put out of their misery.
so come! learn how to use a vast assortment of tools! (feel free to bring
your own as well! :) take out your stress and frustration on deserving
targets! tomorrow (tuesday september 14), 5:30pm, ec barbeque pits.
