The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at MIT on September 20-24
By giving blood or by volunteering your time at the blood drive, you
can help save lives. The dates and times are:
Mon. 9/20 noon - 6pm
Tue. 9/21 9am - 3pm
Wed. 9/22 noon - 6pm
Thu. 9/23 9am - 3pm
Fri. 9/24 noon - 6pm
The blood drive will be held in La Sala on the second floor of the
Student Center (W20).
The Red Cross relies on appointments to decide how many staff to
provide on a given day. Making appointments will decrease your wait,
and make the drive run faster as a whole. Even if you can tell only
on what day you will donate, if not the exact time, that will help the
Red Cross prepare for the drive. To make an appointment, fill out the
form at http://web.mit.edu/blood-drive/www/ If you cannot make an
appointment please feel free to come to the drive and donate anyway.
We are hoping to have more MIT people helping out during this drive
that we have had for any recent drives. This will help people get
registered more quickly, and take some of the pressure off of the Red
Cross workers. Even if you can't donate blood, you're welcome to
donate some of your time to the drive. Some of the services that
volunteers may perform are registering donors, staffing the canteen,
and providing moral support to the donors. All these efforts are
important to the drive's success. To volunteer, send e-mail to
