as happens every summer, the fourth of july is coming soon. fireworks,
music, and people packed like sardines on the esplanade. :) following
the grand old tradition, we will be spreading our blankets on the
esplanade quite early, giving us room for an amazing number of sardines,
or a goodly number of people, if we forego the fish entirely. :)

of course, to hold such a vast tract of land amongst the july 4th
crowds, we not only need people to fend off the envious crowds, but
we need said people very early. i will be in the apo office at 7am on
the fourth, and anyone who wishes to join me then will be joyfully
welcomed. for everyone else who comes later, we should be distinguishable
by the apo banner...and, of course, the hordes of cool people having
much fun. :) (once we've found a spot and have enough people to hold
it, i will likely have someone send a better description of its location.)

feel free to show up at any time, although i encourage you to show up
somewhat early, lest our covetous neighbors start encroaching on our
patch, and we find ourselves with more sardines than we can handle.
bring cards, games, friends, relatives...just come and be merry! and
enjoy a great view of the fireworks once the sun has set, of course. :)

so come! eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we...sleep? :)
