Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to remind you about the section 96 summer picnic! Its on
Saturday, June 26th at Douglas State Park anytime after 10am
Remember the parking lot fills up quickly.....Bring whatever you would
like! There will be burgers and the like there but feel free to bring
munchies and whatever else!
Do me a favor and email me if you think you might be going by Thursday so
we can have a general idea of how much stuff to get!
directions
Douglas State Park
1)get to I-395
for MA its via Mass Pike to exit 10 or I-290 West, RI US-44 or US-6 West
into CT, For CT, it would be 95 to 395 north, or US-^ or US 44 east to 395
North or I-84 east to the Mass Pike
2) take 395 north (or south as appropriate) to exit 2 (Rte 16) Go east on
16
3) follow 16 for about 5 miles (you will cross into Douglas) at the first
real intersection in Douglas Turn RIGHT on to CEDER st.There should be a
state park sign here
4)follow ceder st for 1-3/4 miles ceder st becomes wallum lake road. After
crossing a stone bridge, the entrance to the forest will be on your right
marked with a wooden Sign for the park
5) Follow acess road to parking area $2per car.
