The Kappa Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega, at the University of
Massachusetts-Amherst is presenting its 47th annual Founder's Day! You
are cordially invited to attend this special day of service and fellowship
in Amherst on Saturday, April 24th, 1999.
WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH ALPHA PHI OMEGA AT UMASS:
The Kappa Omicron Chapter has been busy at work recruiting
students and continuing our strong program of Leadership, Friendship, and
Service on the UMass campus. We have had the honor of welcoming
significantly large pledge classes during the past three semesters and the
Kappa Omicron Chapter is continuing to expand. We really miss our Alumni
and our close chapter friends and we would like our new brothers to
meet and enjoy the company of our distinguished UMass--Alpha Phi
Omega--Alumni and friends. If it is possible for you to return and spend
time with us on this wonderful day in April, we would love to have you
there. If you are unable to attend this event, please check out the Kappa
Omicron Chapter at the following web-site address:
http://www-unix.oit.umass.edu/~aphio/index.html
DETAILS OF OUR 47TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION:
There will be a service project in Holyoke, Massachusetts for
most of the day and the event will culminate with fellowship festivities
at a local restaurant. In addition, anyone who wishes to remain in
Amherst through the end of the weekend, there will be a Blue and Gold Day
beginning at noon on Sunday, April 25th. We will be meeting in the A.P.O.
office (409 Student Union) for the service project on the 24th between 8
and 8:30 am. The project will be either a renovation or clean-up project
(so please wear work clothing). For Saturday's dinner, please bring
approximately $15.
There will also be a T-Shirt being printed for this celebration.
The cost is $7 (postage not included); even if you cannot attend
Founder's Day, you may still order a T-Shirt. The payment for your
event shirt(s) must be received by April 1st to allow time for the shirt
to be printed.
If you know that you will not be able to attend the 47th annual
Founder's Day celebration, but would like more information about cabin
(April 31-May 1) or banquet (May 7), please contact the Chapter.
In addition to the strong programs of fellowship and service
within the Chapter, we are working to increase the quality and quantity of
information regarding our Alumni and Chapter Friends, please let me know
if any of your contact information has recently changed or if it is soon
to change.
Finally, if you are interested in attending Founder's Day and/or
purchasing a T-Shirt, please contact me by APRIL 1st. I can be contacted
by phone (413-545-2068) or at either of these email addresses:
