hi-

FYI...the student center (and therefore the APO office) will be closed
next Wednesday, 4/14, from 2am-1pm, for the Chinese Premier's visit.

Just thought I'd let y'all know.

Melissa

Subject: Premier's Visit

Hi,

As many of you know by now, Chinese Premier Zhu Ronghi will be visiting MIT
next Wednesday, April 14. Although he will be giving an address in Kresge
Auditorium, the immediate areas around the facility will also be involved.
After conversations with the visit coordinators and MIT Campus Police, it
has been determined that the additional facilities within the Campus
Activities Complex must also be closed.

The closure schedule by building is as follows:

  Kresge Auditorium (W16) Mon., 4/12 at 11pm - Wed., 4/14 at 1pm
  Religous Activities Ctr. (W11) Tues., 4/13 at 11pm - Wed., 4/14 at 1pm
  MIT Chapel (W15) Tues., 4/13 at 11pm - Wed., 4/14 at 1pm
  Stratton Student Ctr. (W20) Wed., 4/14 at 2am - Wed., 4/14 at 1pm

Groups having scheduled events in the facilities have already been
contacted and alternative arrangements made. The general community,
including student activities located in these buildings, will not be able
to stay in or have access to these facilities during the times of closure.
Please plan accordingly as no access will be permitted once the particular
facility has closed. In the Student Center, no services will be provided by
our retail tenants or MIT Dining Services nor will the CAC or RLSLP offices
be open during closure. In the Religious Activities Center, chaplain
offices will also be closed.

Additional dining services will be provided in Lobby 13 for those seeking
breakfast and/or lunch options. All services and offices are expected to
re-open after 1pm.

If you have any particular problem or concern, please contact the Campus
Activities Complex at 3-3913, and the staff will do it's best to assist you.

We appreciate your assistance with this matter and apologize for any
inconvenience they present.

Phil Walsh
Director
Campus Activities Complex
