AXAA BLOOD DONATION AND DINNER TRIP: Tuesday, March 9, 1999
Alumni, actives, pledges, and friends welcome.
It's time once again for the First Tuesday of Every Odd Month Blood Donation
and Dinner Trip. The only problem is the FTOEOMBD&DT will be happening on
the 2nd Tuesday of month. The donor center in Lexington is currently only
open every other week and nobody has expressed any enthusiasm for switching
to one of the other donor centers (Peabody & Dedham).
Come next tuesday to bleed, for dinner, or to bleed and eat dinner.
The donor center is open from 2 pm to 8 pm every other Tuesday. If you are
planning on giving blood, please arrive by **6:45 pm** so we can eat by a
not too unreasonable hour. The Red Cross has changed their procedures. Now
if you make an appointment, they pre-print info for you. Since I never have
an accurate list of specific names and the Red Cross never got the group
appointment block right more than 1 time in 6, I'm given up on trying to
make appointments for the group. If you know in advance that you are coming,
you should call the Red Cross for an appointment (800-258-0025). Otherwise,
simply show up.
As usual, I will coordinate rides for those of you without cars. Let me
know if you can give rides or need a ride. Even if you are planning your
own transportation and can't take passengers, please RSVP so I know how many
people to expect. Options for RSVPing are calling me at home(781-646-3118),

Directions to the Bloodmobile in Lexington: Countryside Bible Chapel, 480
Lowell Street, Lexington
Take Route 128 to exit 32B - Middlesex Turnpike. Turn left onto the
Middlesex Turnpike. Go 1.5 miles -- you will go past the Middlesex Mall and
cross the Lexington town line. Somewhere along here the road will start
looking rather residential. The Countryside Bible Chapel will be on the
right. There is parking at the back of the building.
