So, UMOC (the Ugliest Manifestation on Campus) contest is NEXT week.
What this means to you.
1) We get to raise money for charity!
2) We need people to sign up to put up the booth, take
down the booth, watch the booth, and count money. Please,
please contact, Sam Hoolihan (shoolihn@mit.edu).
3) We badly need candidates. If you know someone who might be
psyched to run for running, please contact them (or at least
let me or Emily (emarcus) know. If you know someone who likes
a particular charity but has nothing in mind to run for, as a
special prize, Melissa is building a REALLY ugly statue for
lobby seven that we will let anyone run for the charity of
their choise.
4) Under this year's rules, member's of APO NOT on the UMOC
committee can be on a candidate's committee and help collect
money from them (with the stamp of approval of the UMOC
committee). If you're ON the UMOC committee, you can still
help candidates, just not directly collect money for them.
5) Some day in the next few days, Katie will be organizing a
drop poster making for our lobby seven space... please
come help!
We're doing a lot of new things this year (including adding $500 from
the charitable fund to the prize and actively helping candidates).
The result of which is- it can be really really cool, but we BADLY
need help.
Rules and candidate forms are available in /mit/ajw/Public/UMOC or
in the office.
yiLFS,
Ari
P.S. The contact email for umoc is ugly@mit.edu.
