From: Michael Spitznagel <aquinas@MIT.EDU>
To: apo-minutes@MIT.EDU
Date: Fri, 09 Oct 1998 12:36:04 EDT

Minutes of ExecComm, Sept. 30, 1998

Start: 7:35 pm; End: 8:19 pm

Present: Ann-Marie, Sara, Emily, Ari, Cathy, Victoria Anderson,
Daniel Lee, Grant, Michael, Brian, Ann-Marie's Mom.

President (Ann-Marie): I want Execcomm to act like a committee -- don't
just tell us about what's going well, but also tell what's not going
well, so that we can help each other out. Carla Moran, the Region I
service chair will come to next week's meeting to talk about National
Service Week and give us copies of a certificate from Governor
  Cellucci.

SVP (Cathy): wrt National Service Week: we could work at shelters with
WPI during one of Nov. 6-8. Or we could work on the weekend of
PTRM. Possibilities are endless. Are there enough projects for the
pledge program? (We have one each weekend but the 31st, plus UMOC.)

The answer is yes.

Nationals is coming up in December, but if you want to go, sign up
now. We'll determine voting delegates in three weeks. In addition,
Conclave: Mysteries of the Unknown is on the 31st. (First night: SexFest '98.)
See Ann-Marie now if you want to go.

Historian (Sara): I am insanely hosed, so haven't been able to do
  anything.

Suggestions received are to: get pictures developed,
and work on the unix genealogy program.

APOcEd (Emily): (By note:) People need to write their articles,
and when is Pledge Article Meal?

Reply: It is run by Brad, and he has sent out some mail about it earlier.

MVP (Brian): Do people think I should attach interested non-pledges to
apo-pledges for project announcements? There may be another pledge
ceremony this weekend. (It would come up suddenly.)

Possible project: Make disaster relief boxes for Red Cross.
(Disasters never go out of style.)

Suggestion: Send Fresca as well.

President (Ann-Marie): A CPPC (Chapter Program Planning Conference)
will be at Resolute on the weekend after Chapter Weekend I. We'll get
together, assess our position, build strategies, etc.

AVP (Michael): What things would people like to see?
o More email (apo-announce for prospectives)
   o Snail mail (Interdepartmental)
