Hey,
So a few spots on the Fellowship Events calendar have not yet
gotten PCs. Please email me if any of these interest you. These include:
Pledge Article Meal, Saturday Oct 3: this involves getting the food,
picking a location and a rain location and setting the food up. Then
you have to coax the new members into writing a little bit about
themselves and their background.
Semi-Formal-Formal, Saturday Nov 21, right after new member elevation.
Involves finding a smallish place where we can dance and talk the
night away, celebrating new additions to the brotherhood. You'd also
be in charge of decorating, getting a sound system, getting some
munchies, and generally making a reasonable attempt to keep people
happy while they are there.
I've also volunteered to be PC of Chapter Weekend 1, at Camp Nobscot.
I need sub-PCs for:
handling the transport schedule (coordinating those with cars and
those needing rides and getting everyone back and forth as needed)
Food: come up with menus (check to be sure the current food allergy
list is up to date and find a good-tasting vegitabolarian option as
well as the standard meativore), buy the food, and find cooks. Then
make sure the kitchen gets cleaned. Sometime before we actually
leave I'll figure out what sort of cookware we'll need to bring.
There may be more that I'm blanking on, but I'll advertise as they
come up. Those two are the biggest ones I can think of.
Also, a reminder that the first apple picking trip of the year is
planned for Sept 19, this coming Saturday. I'm going to be posting a
signup sheet in a minute or two, altho I prefer email.
Also, Sunday the 20th at the farm in Waltham: it's a nice place, feels
rural even though right in a nearby suburb. A great break from
campus.
Yours in LFS,
Brad L.
