Okay, so this is a reminder of the APO service projects coming up in the
immediate future:
- June 6, 9:00am, in the office.
Putting in planters, landscaping, planting flowers at Fields Corner
in Dorchester (on the Red Line.) This should be done around 1 or so.
We are doing this with Boston Urban Gardeners, who work on (surprisingly)
creating gardens in urban areas and are exceptionally cool.
If you want to go, tell me now so I can RSVP with a headcount. As far
as I know, three people are going. (I'll mail y'all in a minute...)
Also, if you're interested in leading the masses to Fields Corner
(it won't be tough, I promise) tell me; I can't go because my mom'll
be in town for graduation.
- June 20 and/or 21, whenever.
Special Olympics summer games at MIT.
We'll be doing whatever; I'm trying to find out what people want to do.
If you're interested, contact me and I'll get a list of things you can
do. They greatly appreciate preregistration; you need to fill out a
registration form. I'm going to xerox them and they'll be in the office
shortly; before that, I want to know what people want to do. We can help
out (need permitting) with any athletic event, staging for events, running
scores, awards, etc.... This project is amazingly rewarding - lots of
big warm fuzzies.
So, those are the upcoming (immediately; I promise these won't be the
*only* projects :) ) projects. Hope to hear lots of RSVP's! :)
Thanks, Cathy
