Minutes of ExecComm (Wednesday, February 24, 1993)

*Administrative notes:

Start: 7:00 pm; End: 7:16 pm. Present:
Kate Curtis, Joe Kuchta, Traci Williams, Kevin Dahm, Glenn Berry,
Yale Zussman, Harry Tsai, Crystal Reul, Dave Cho, Bridget Spitznagel,
Ann Yen, Ezra Erb, Sara Verilli.

*Officers' reports:

*SVP's report:
-not present, written report-

This past weekend we had two, yes two projects. Saturday we went to the
Cambridgeport Children's Center --- people seemed to have a lot of fun and
they seemed to really appreciate our help. Thanks very much to Traci for
PCing --- yeah! (Much applause.)

Sunday was our night for the alumni phone-a-thon and, despite Bert's valiant
efforts, only two people (including him) showed up. I think in the future
we should seriously consider whether or not we should do this project.
I would suggest that the project be brought up at a chapter meeting where
people could vote on it.

Tomorrow, Bridget is having a Big Screw meeting --- anyone interested in
helping out should attend.

Next month we will hopefully be going to Camp Child for a day project. Also,
we will be having a presentation on AIDS followed by a discussion on what
type of project we might want to do in the future. I am also hoping to
get the Ride Board finished, yes finished, over Spring Break if people
will be around and if the Hobby Shop will be open then. Congratulations
to our newest pledge. I will be talking to the whole pledge class about
their class project RSN. Where's my hat? (Kate: In my office...)

YiLFS, Jen'n

*MVP's report:
(Almost not present.) Nothing to report.

*AVP's report:
I am cleaning out the Systems directory in the apo account. Anything I
think is still useful (and has a non-zero probability of being used) will
stay in the account. I updated the standing policies file in the Bylaws
directory. It was not being RCS'ed or whatever, so I did that too.
(People who want to update stuff in that directory should read the README
file, which says how to use RCS so the changes are logged.) I think I
should write my report out beforehand because I can't remember whether
I said anything else. I think that was all.

*Treasurer's report:
Nothing to report. We're not broke.

*Fellowship Chair's report:
I'm hosed. Other than that, no report.

*APOcEd's report:
There will be an Apoc out this week, by Friday.

*ASC's report:
Office supplies successfully purchased. [See, I spelled it right.]

*PubDir's report:
-not present, written report-

I have nothing to report. Well, unless changing the board before the
next chapter meeting counts (this is only a goal, not a promise :-) .)

*Historian's report:
Maybe we won't get another camera because I looked and the chapter already
has one, but someone suggested having one idiot camera and one camera-person
camera. We already have an idiot camera. Maybe Tracy can help with
getting the other, because I don't know much about it.

*Chairman of the Advisory Committee, report of:
Nothing to report.

*President's report:
I'm sending off the shingles. Conclave is this weekend. For the next
ExecComm, I'm inviting more advisors. I talked to Bonnie. She'd like
to discuss leadership, centered around what happened at Reg Day unless
we get other ideas. We may be having it in a bigger room, maybe PDR 3
or something. I will send out mail.

*Announcements
Kate: I was going through the bylaws (researching membership policy.)
The treasurer's duties in the bylaws need to be fixed.

Crystal: Pledge Article Meal is next Monday.

Kate: What's the status of the pledge meeting tomorrow? (On at 5.)

Crystal: A message from Ping: WUAPO updates should be sent to ``pshuang''
on athena, as much information as available or I'll make it up!

Dave: 6.004 sucks.

Glenn: Congratulations to the new pledge.
