Ok, so we have this really cool thing happening on May 5th which is a tuesday
type day, and all these kid type people will be coming and presenting thier
projects to people. It should be cool! Here at the exact jobs needed, please
sign up and if possible, email me or write down which jobs you would be
interested in doing.
o Project Evaluators (between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.)
Spend the day talking with many young scientists and viewing their science
projects. This is not meant to be a competitive event, so those evaluating
will be called "Science Advisors" who discuss the projects with the students.
o School Representatives (between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.)
Meet Cambridge students and Science Resource Teachers from a particular school
and stay and interact with them throughout the day!
o Tour Representatives (between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.)
On the day of the Science Expo there will be tours of MIT labs, centers, and
departments, etc. for the Cambridge School children. We need tour guides to
help the
kids find their way around MIT.
o Reception Team (between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.)
Serve as a welcoming group to the students as they arrive at MIT. We need
people to work at
welcome tables and refreshment tables to make the guests feel at home!
o Logistics Team (anytime during the day between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.)
We need people to help with room setup and handle spur-of-the-moment
problems during the
Science Expo. We also need people to help clear out projects and clean up
rooms.
Volunteers also get to consume all the leftover drinks and food!
