Summary:
submit articles for the apoc by Monday, April 13, 11:59 to either
apo-apoc, apo-apoced, apocrypha, or jefreypu. Topics include
nominations, how things are going this term, project reports, and
minutes.
details:
Hi. I have been temporarily appointed as an editor of the Apocrypha
(recently renamed, and I am still considering what to do there for
this issue). This may be a little bit of short notice, for which I
appologize. I need submissions by Monday evening so that the issue can
be ready before the Chapter Meeting on tuesday.
You can send submissions in text or latex format to me at
apo-apoc, apocrypha, apo-apoced, or jefreypu, but probably
just to me will work the best. Please indicate somewhere in
the subject the word apoc so that I know its an article (I
probably will figure this out, but lately I have had a tendency
to quickly skim email and delete a lot of things without looking
at them).
Topics for this apoc are:
o Nominations: next chapter meeting is nominations. If you would
like to run for an office, now is the time to start thinking about
it, and you may want to start telling people what you want to do
with the office. Get them thinking about you early on. Get em
excited. Campaign. Lie a little. Whatever :)
o How is this term going: Write an article about how you think
things are going in the chapter. You might think things are going
really well, and maybe we all need to hear that. Maybe things really
suck right now, and maybe we need to hear what we can be doing better.
And maybe the chapter could be a little more fun and you have some
good ideas. Share your ideas and get others interested.
o Project reports: We used to send these a lot more often,
and I feel like I used to know a little better what projects
we had each week, and it would be really cool if these started
appearing in the apoc again. If you recently pc'd a project or
you are pc'ing a project really soon, write an article. It doesn't
have to be long, just enough to tell us what you did and why
it was fun and why we should do it again, damnit :)
o Minutes: There will be minutes. You are welcome to submit minutes
if you are either Laura or you have minutes of a meeting of a committee
of APO or you have minutes of a meeting unrelated to apo, but they just
are amusing enough that other people might get a kick out of them.
Note: a thesis does not count as minutes, regardless of the fact
that you can these in mere minutes.
So, please send me articles by monday night.
YiLFSuuuubbbbbmmmmmiiiitttt damnit!
