Hello,
Cambridge Clergy and Laity for Affordable Housing has two
houses that they are currently renovating, and the site manager wants
us to go to the one on Jefferson St (not on my map, so maybe you'll
want to jot down these directions if you aren't walking with the mob.
My maps don't look very good, however). The mob will leave the office
at 9am fairly promptly because the walk is about three times as long
as it was to CASPAR last weekend, and they are expecting us at 9:30.
I will try to call the site manager again and see if we can't go to
the site that may be two or three minutes' shorter walk, and I'll look
(briefly) into drivers--it isn't all *that* far and we can call it an
opportunity for fellowship without the local gravitational anomalies
of the office couches. If you need to leave early or get there late,
it probably wouldn't hurt to bring a bike or rollerblades, weather
permitting.
We're planning on starting back to campus at 12:30, to be back
in time to eat pledges at 1pm. Grant, get us some pledges with more
meat on their bones!!
DON'T FORGET TO WEAR jeans or overalls and your heaviest boots or
shoes--don't want a nail in your foot, even if you have had a tetanus
shot recently. They will have gloves and safety glasses/goggles there.
Office directions:
The route we, the mob, will take is: Mass. Ave. north, right
on Albany just past the reactor, take the left fork in the road which
becomes Cardinal Medeiros eventually, and follow Card. Med. until it
ends at Cambridge St., right near the edge of Somerville. Make a left
onto Cambridge, and then a right onto Harding St. Jefferson St. will
be the first right, our house will be #36, a lime-green house with a
big dumpster in front. Sounds like we couldn't miss it unless other
nearby homeowners were colorblind and also thought February is a good
time to do major renovations.
West of office directions:
Take Prospect to Cambridge St; make a right onto Cambridge,
and a ways down take a left onto Harding. Continue as above.
East of office directions:
Find your own way to Cambridge St, there isn't an easy
straight line according to my map.
Microwave directions:
Blend ingredients until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 50% power for 45 minutes. Chill and serve with whipped cream,
if desired.
