It's really up to you guys to decide, although AXAA has definitely sufffered
from the lack of a newsletter. (We've had some trouble finding editors with
enough time for frequent publication over the last couple of years.) A
number of the alumni don't have e-mail access, which has made it very labor
intensive to notify people about service projects without a newsletter.
Elections meeting attendance has also been pretty poor, presumably because a)
people hadn't thought about AXAA in ages because they hadn't gotten a
newsletter or gone on project, or b) people had made other plans by the time
we did send a meeting announcement out.

You may feel that some factors make things different for the actives (better
network access, having an office), but you may want to consider the effect,
if any, of the newsletter on brothers who aren't around the office as much.

Aside to alumni: I'm not trying to pin the blame for all of the recent
official lameness on our beleagured editors. I will definitely accept
responsibility for fact that we haven't had more service projects; I'll try
to get another one soon. However, I thought the topic was relevant to the
actives' discussion about whether to continue publishing the APOC.

Darlene Ford
AXAA SVP
