Administrative  notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start: 7:08 pm; End: 7:33 pm. Present: Lizzie, Susama, Matt, Brian,
David, Cathy, Heather, Carolyn, Grant, Michael, Ari
Officers'  reports:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SVP (Susama): Chapter Skills weekend is this week; check the email
       Jeff sent out for details. I still need a few more PCs for October.
       The road race project on the fourth needs a PC; I also need
       PCs for UMOC, and for Franklin Park Zoo on the twenty-sixth.
       Projects which already have PCs are "Making Strides" on the
       fifth, Chapter Weekend II at Nobscot on the eighteenth, and
       George's Island on the twenty-fifth. There is no project for the
       eleventh.

MVP (Jeffrey): (Not present)

AVP (Melissa): (Not present) Nothing to report.

FC (Brian): Woo-hoo! Fun! Dinner trip this weekend; maybe I'll
       send mail before. The Big Brother / Little Brother study break
       is this Sunday, with a special secret surprise event. It is super
       top-secret, fun, and silly, with tickling the Lizzie involved.

Lizzie: No tickling the Lizzie at BB/LB.

FC (Brian): Also, I need a PC for I-Banquet, or at least a food sub-PC.

Treasurer (Matt): Pay your debts.

APOcEd (David): APOc comes out next week. Write articles for it.

ASC (Cathy): Nothing "new and spiffy" to report.

PubDir (Heather): I'm planning to update the Infinite Corridor
       board soon. I will get paint this Friday.

Historian (Carolyn): Nothing to report.

President (Lizzie): Yeah. So, there's not a lot going on, but people
       here are hosed. For the first time, someone used the comments
       & suggestions box for something other than cookies or Skittles.

       (Abbreviated summary: )
   o Upcoming events board and comments & suggestions box are cool.
   o Flame book should be used for flaming things, not people.
   o PCs should plan more in advance.
   o People should go on projects.
   o The officers are doing a good job, and ought to realize it.

Conclave  report:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Conclave Committee: Go to Conclave. Go to Conclave Committee
       meetings.  The next one is Monday at 8:30.  There will be a
       Memorabilia Committee meeting on Sunday (time TBD). We
       are still looking for a manpower person to be in charge of de-
       ploying our forces during Conclave. Sign up in the office to go
       to Conclave, like Lizzie has. You cannot debtlist Conclave. To
       pay, just put a check in the strongbox.  You must pay by the
       deadline. (October 22)
New  Business:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meeting Schedule:
----------------

President (Lizzie): We currently have a chapter meeting scheduled
       for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Not many people will
       be around, so we'd better move it.

(Brief discussion determines that the meeting can either be moved back
to Monday or Tuesday, or moved forward one week. A straw poll is
taken.)

President (Lizzie): We will move the chapter meeting of November
       26 to December 3.

Son of Carnival:
---------------

Ari: Some people from the CAC Program Board came in and told us
       that they want to know within the week whether we're doing
       Carnival or not next year. It seems they have reserved Kresge
       Oval and such, since we "always" do Carnival. Oscar refrained
       from strangling them, for which he deserves commendation, if
       not a DSK. We explained that

  1. We cannot get an answer from the chapter within the week.

  2. Even if we wanted to do it, we would need at least a month to
     consider strategy first.

  3. We're busy.

Then they suggested that the Program Board may do Carnival instead,
       so we laughed at them. We directed them to Rick at CAC, who
       will hopefully set them straight.

David: Doing a Carnival every year would be very hosing.

Matt: The scope of this discussion is beyond Execcomm.

Ari: We would need Oscar for a detailed discussion, anyway. We did
       some things wrong last time, so a second time would be less
       painful.

Lizzie: I will put this on the agenda of Chapter Meeting. Anything
       else for the agenda?

Ari: Robert's RulesComm will have a report to make.

Brian: Can I make an Officer's Report?

Cathy: Can I make a Fellowship Chair's Report?

PFTGOTO:
~~~~~~~
Susama: I'm engaged!
Meeting adjourned to a fellowship circle at 7:33  pm.
