Also known as more changes in the system. Right. I would really
love to go to this meeting, but I will still be out at cape
cod at the time. Is there anyone who would be willing to 
go to this meeting so that at least our views and needs
for scheduling are represented?

        WE NEED YOUR HELP ON A NEW SCHEDULING SYSTEM FOR MIT!

Why We Need You
        As a frequent user/customer of the current scheduling systems, we
realize that your input into how any new scheduling system works is very
important.  It is from you that we will get an idea of what works and does
not work in the current system, and what you would like to see in a new
integrated scheduling and event management system.  We will be holding a
meeting on August 6th from 3:30 AM to 5 PM in room 66-168 to hear your
ideas and concerns and would appreciate your attendance.

Space Scheduling and Event Management Project Summary
        The goal of a new scheduling and event management process is to
provide "one-stop shopping" for reservations and event planning for student
groups and other Institute users.  An electronic space scheduling system
will be developed to inventory reservable space, accept applications for
reservations, disseminate information for reservation approvals, and will
link to the Student Activities Center and the algorithmic classroom
scheduling program.  This will be available on a 24-hour basis from the
world wide web.  A web-based calendar will be available for all campus-wide
events.  Event registration will be built into the new centralized system
and the event registration paper form will be eliminated.

Please let us know if you or another member of your organization will be
able to attend.  Additionally, if you have any questions, feel free to
contact one of us.  Snacks will be served.
