Anyone who is or is thinking about becoming a chapter officer should
consider attending a CPW this summer. These workshops focus on developing
the leadership skills that are helpful to the successful running of a chapter.

>Hello Brothers,
>
>
>Just wanted to let you know that planning continues with the Chapter Program
>Workshops which are starting in a little more than a month from now. If you
have
>not registered yet, now is the time to do so. All chapters were sent a letter,
>a brochure and registration forms last month. So far, registration has been on
>the slow side as the May 15 deadline approaches.
>
>This year, the National Leadership Development Committee, working in
conjunction
>with each of the regions, has sited at least one CPW in each region this year.
>However, if there is not sufficient attendance at a site, the plug will be
>pulled at that site as the fraternity has to guarantee a certain amount of
>attendees at each site for the best rates for meals and housing.
>
>
>If you plan to attend, the National Office needs to know this as quickly as
>possible. We will take walk-in registrations at a site, but we need to know for
>sure if people are coming.
>
>Since the last info came out, we have made a few changes.
>The Region IV CPW will be at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA on July
25-27.
>
>The Region IX CPW will be at Augustana College in Rock Island, ILL. on July 25-
>27.
>
>All other CPWs are still on as of today, May 10, 1997. However, if attendance
>does not pick up, the fraternity will be forced to cancel a site.
>
>Our goal is to reach out to every region to make the CPW experience as close
>and convenient to as many brothers as possible. We hope that many of you take
>advantage of this excellent leadership development opportunity.
