I'm planning on helping out with this for a few hours. Anyone out there
interested in joining me? -- c.c.
The Public Theatre is holding a work session on Saturday, May 10 from 11am
to ? to spruce up their performance space for the season. This includes
things like painting the stage, trimming the bushes, cleaning out and
securing the trailer used as the backstage area (someone got in and trashed
the place over the winter -- and then did it again after the first time it
was cleaned up).
For those of you not familiar with the Public Theatre, here's a brief
description from its web page:
http://www.publick.org
>Boston's own Publick Theatre performs every summer in an open-air
>amphitheater in Herter Park, between Soldiers Field Road and the Charles
>River. We may be the only theatre in New England with a moat!
>
>The purpose of the Publick Theatre, Inc. is to discover, develop and
>showcase Boston area theatrical artists in a variety of performing arts
>programs of professional >quality that are accessible and challenging to
>diverse audiences. The Publick Theatre's goals include introducing people
>to the multifaceted aspects of live theatre and creating new generations
>of theatergoers.
The theatre is located along Soldiers Field road, and is accessible by
public transit. Check out the web page or call me for directions.
