So, after much harassment, I finally got a chance to put together a
dinner trip schedule. The idea is that if there are places and things
scheduled in advance, more people will show up. I'll see how this goes. =)
Below is MY plan for the way everything will be running. PLEASE be
sure to read the notes at the bottom regarding dinner trip etiquette (or, "How
To Change the Dinner Trip Destination in 10 East Steps"). Any place you see
?? listed for the PC, that means you should volunteer to run the trip!!!
If I do not have a volunteer one week in advance, I will cancel the
trip. All PCing these means is being there to organize people, and making sure
reservations and directions are obtained. If you have any questions, please
contact me. I'll try to post a copy of this around the office. It will be on
the Fellowship Board. RSVP's for dinner trips are VERY NICE as they allow us
to give the restaurant the right number of people so we get the right size
table. =) Also, we piss them off a lot when we show up with 5 people for a
15 person reservation. THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!! CAPICE??? 'Nuff said. =)
Without further ado, I give you: Da Schedule!!!
Da Schedule by: Me, Da Fellowship Chair
DATE LOCATION FOOD TYPE PC
==== ======== ========= ==
Fri 2/28 Country Life Vege. Rest. vegetarian ??
Fri 3/7 Vinny Testa's italian jill
Fri 3/14 Pizza & Shakespeare elizabethan jill
pizza
Sat 3/22 Mary Chung's chinese ??
Sat 4/12 Kebab -n- Kurry indian ??
Sat 4/19 Five Seasons vegetarian ??
Sat 5/10 TBA TBA ??
As always, those who show up for a dinner trip may over-rule the
Fellowship Chair as to its destination. However, a few are actually requested
locations (e.g. Vinny's and Pizza & Shakespeare), so attempts to change these
will be frowned upon. You will note TWO explicitly vegetarian restaurants
on the list. This is to satisfy equal-opportunity statutes guaranteeing
vegetarians the right to eat plants, just as there are statutes guaranteeing
carnivores the right to eat meat. =)
If you have a suggestion for the last dinner trip, please let me know.
Also, please note that after the first three, dinner trips are on SATURDAYS.
This is so that people who can't make fridays can go on dinner trips, too.
The last one went on a saturday b/c that's the night of PTRM, and I figured
people would want to unwind.
Comments?? Questions?? Volunteers to PC?? Send me email!!!
YiLFS,
Charley
