Directions to the house (count the many ways):
By T: take the *Green B line* (Boston College via Commonwealth Avenue) to
Harvard Ave. This station is not marked; it is past BU and two stops
after Comm. Ave turns left (it splits into Brighton Ave and Comm.Ave).
There is a Pizzeria Uno's on the left and a Boston Chicken and Store 24
on the right. When you get off the train, cross Harvard Ave. to Marty's
liquors. Turn right and walk to the next stoplight, which is Brighton
Ave. Blanchard's is right there. Turn left. About 3 blocks up is a
Burger King and a Superlube; turn left at the one-way street immediately
past them. This is Higgins St. Walk up the street. Our house is the
yellow townhouse on the left.
***Remember that you can catch the Green line for free going outbound if
you get on at any stop past Kenmore.*****
By Bus:
From Harvard Sq.--take the #66 towards Dudley. Get off at Union
Square in Allston. For rest of directions, see below.
From Central Sq.--take the #64 away from Central Sq. (towards
Oak Sq., i believe). Get off at Union Square, which you can't miss
because there's a big glowing clock tower. Turn onto Brighton Ave.,
which is the most left of the intersecting streets. Turn right onto the
Higgins St., which is right before the Superlube and Burger King. We're
the yellow townhouse on the left.
From Kenmore--take the #57 almost to Union Square. Get off
right past the Dunkin Donuts/Osco drug minimalllikethang. It's after
Comm.Ave splits into Brighton Ave. There is a Burger King and Superlube
on your left. Cross the street. Turn left onto the street after the
Superlube--it's Higgins St.! We're the yellow townhouse on the left.
By car: We are off of Brighton Ave. near Union Square in ALLSTON. Since
Higgins is a one-way street that dumps into Brighton Ave., you have to make a
detour. Turn right onto Allston St., which is next to the Burger King
(NOT the Superlube). Take the second right-NOT the first one, although
it says Higgins St). This little alley has no name and is real bumpy.
Follow it as it makes a right u-turn onto Higgins St, which begins with the
rows of townhouses. We're the yellow one in the middle of the last row
of townhouses. Park on the street.
