Minutes of Exec Comm(November 26, 1996)
Administrative notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start: 7:30 pm; End: 9:00pm. Present: Cathy, Jeffrey, Kevin, Ingrid,
Ari, Hannah, Joe, Michael, Charley, Emily, Matt, Gina
President (Emily): There is money in the National Layaway Fund
for those going to Nationals. If you think you need money then
come talk to me.
SVP (Alexis): Hello All. The SVP is boarding a plane to Philadelphia
as you read this. We had quite a few things gooing on this
weekend - Yale's Leadership Seminar, Splash Project PC'd by
Laura and Elina, and Boston City Hospital Project PC'd by
Lauren Fletcher. No fatalities, as far as I've heard; thanks to all
who participated and PC'd.
The next and quite possibly final project of the term will be on Sunday,
December 8th, at 8:30 AM. We're going to the Franklin Park Zoo to
do outdoor work - planting if the ground is not frozen, leaf raking and
various and sundry other Horticulture Department things.
YOU WANT TO PC THIS. You and your little/big want to co-pc this.
Trust me.
As for Afterfinals, I have not been able to get in touch with BU, but
I agree that having a joint afterfinals would be good. Afterfinals is
tentatively scheduled for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (over IAP) but
will change if (a) we don't find a camp (b) everyone wants it to change.
Also, would people be interested in sponsoring a coat/warm cloth-
ing/blanket drive for Catholic Charities (tm)? I don't know if we would
need to have everything collected before the end of the term - I suspect
not. Please take a straw poll of the people in the room - does postering
and collecting warm things for the Homeless and for refugees sound like
something we want to do?
Y - 7, N - 4
That is all for now. Have happy thanksgivings all.
yilfs, alexis l
ASC (Lizzie): Nothing to report.
Historian (Charley): Money was alocated to the historian for ma-
terials. I will be meeting with the members of Archive Comm
to start working on that business. I have put photos in a big
binder of photos to be labelled. I will probably have a label
photos study break. There is lots of film to be developed and I
will probably develope them at a nearby Star Market.
APOcEd (Hannah): The deadline for the Apoc is this coming satur-
day at midnight. Outgoing officers should write outgoing officer
reports, incoming officers should write incoming officer reports,
and others should write articles as well. The apoc is also offer-
ing a reward of ice cream to the humor submission that is the
longest and funniest.
MVP (Ari): We had pledge meeting five. The pledges now know to
apease the angel of peanut butter if that ever comes up. Initia-
tion is coming up.
FC (Ingrid): I tired to have a fellowship event last Friday but it didn't
quite work out so well. People should bug me about finding a
PC for the bubble wrap study break.
PubDir (Carolyn): We need some paints.
New Business:
Conclave Discussion: The conclave for Fall 1997 is currently sched-
uled for the University of Vermont and Vermont might flake. Mike
Rapetta wants to know whether we want to do the Conclave and we
have to decide by Nationals. The Exec Comm had mixed feelings about
this but we have a general feeling if we can find someone to put together
a good bid, there is no real reason why we couldn't do it. Discussion
was delayed until the Chapter Meeting.
PFTGOTO:
~~~~~~~
Sparky: I am going dancing this saturday if anyone is interested in
going along with me.
YiLFS,
Jeffrey
