I have our new brothers to apo-news. A brief review of our
basic mailing lists, so you know what you want to be on:
apo-pftgoto: anthing people feel like inflicting on us (internet
humor, concert announcement, bad jokes, marriage proposals,
whatever). Nobody is added except by their own request. Feel
free to add yourself or ask the AVP
apo-exec: all executive officers should be put on it, plus
anyone else who feels like it. discussion of picky matters of
chapter operations probably not of concern to the general public
apo-news: our general mailing list. anouncements and discussion
of chapter businesss. as I mentioned, I have added all new brothers
apo-announce: contains apo-news PLUS people who don't want to hear
our general chatter but only want periodic updates of what's
going on. in particular, it contains our prospectives list. DO
NOT mail to this list without the permission of the AVP. He/She
will send periodic summaries of upcoming events to it
apo@mit.edu: is for outside contact. it's the address we give
to people outside the chapter. DO NOT mail to it. It will
just go to the president and a few other people of her chosing.
In general, when in doubt, send to apo-news.
