Sorry these are so late, but 6.003 lab really hosed me down.

Minutes of Exec Comm (October 15, 1996)

Administrative  notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start:  7:30 pm; End:  9:30 pm.  Present:  Emily David, Cathy, Jeffrey
Hannah, Alexis, Harry Ari, Lizzie, Joe K, Brian, Ingrid, Michael, Elina
Cathy: Cathy wants to know cool places for SFF.
PubDir (Carolyn): Scissors are being sharpened. Sanity of pubdir is
       questionable. That is all.
Carnival Report (Oscar): We've spent the $50 the chapter gave us
and we are sending a mailing soon. We are thinking of putting an article
in the Tech. We may need to ask for more money from the Chapter. On
campus will be hand delivered and off campus is being mailed. We are
not relating to Spring Weekend. Carnival needs 3 sub PC's. A Militia
PC to get the chapter and other local chapters involved. A person to
help me to put out info and get info from living groups.  Finally, a
special activities coordinator. These jobs (particularly one to help me)
have some work this term and next term.
AVP (Jeffrey): Hello. I am really hosed right now. Sorry that I have
       not been as terribly efficient as I was in the beginning of the
       term.
APOcEd (Hannah): I mad an apoc. They will be done as soon as I
       go to Graphic Arts.
SVP (Alexis): I have sign up sheets for George's Island, the envelope
       stuffing project, and Rosie's place.  Go to projects, sign up.  I
       have an idea for a project way the hell away that would be really
       cool. How are things going?
Brian: It may be a bad idea to put Chapter Weekends on 4 day week-
ends.
Glenn: Sometimes it would help to start signups farther in advance.
Cathy: On the other hand, its a longer weekend which means people
       have more time and alumni can come and drive us around.
MVP (Ari):  Next pledge meeting is officer night.  People are com-
       ing and giving a useful spiel on things that would be useful for
       pledges to know. The number of PCships we need exceeds the
       number of PCships we have. I am going to give some misc PC-
       ships to pledges who are not going to get a PCship based on the
       current schedule.
Book Exchange (Lizzie): The deadline for picking up checks passed
and I was wondering if we should try to email these people and let them
know they should come pick up their checks.
[AVP Note: Discussion occurred and general consensus was to extend
the deadline until next week, let people know and after that date they
can no longer get their checks]
[Chris Falling got 100 Memorial Drive for I Banquet, and with a vote
taken, the choice was to have I Banquet at 100 Memorial instead of the
Religious Dining Center]
UMOC (Brian): We are having a meeting tomorrow in the office, at
9. We are doing signups now.
FC (Ingrid): David and Jonna are planning a halloween study break
       thing. Information has been passed to somebody. SFF is Novem-
       ber 16. I Banquet is at 100 Memorial Drive.
Historian (Charley): Nothing to Report
President (Emily): About 3 hours ago, Ron asked since we are selling
       candy to people in the office, why not to the institute?
[General Consensus was it would be too difficult to do]
President (Emily):  Richard wants to add a standing policy not to
       take any form of ID for collateral.
Ingrid:  I think we should still take collateral, but its not clear that
       taking things like checks is a good thing.
Glenn: Whatever we take for collateral should be valuable enough that
       they will come back for it.
Ari: You can't leave the 4th floor with it but you can't bring it back
       when no one is in the office and you only have 24 hours before we
       start charging late fees and people are starting to realize there
       is a flaw in the plan.
[This policy to be discussed at the next chapter meeting]
Archive Committee (Charley):  I have some amendments to the
bylaws to be presented before the Chapter at the chapter meeting.
[AVP Note: These bylaws amendments are in a published form and are
available in the office on the discussion board]
