Yo, Folks!

The National Convention is December 27-30 in Phoenix, Arizona. Each
chapter gets two voting delegates, but any number of people can attend
from a given chapter.

There is a sign-up list in the office. What I want to know is as follows:
-are you interested in going? (self-explanatory)
-have you made travel arrangements yet? You should talk to Oscar asap
if flying to SanDiego would be a lot simpler than flying to Phoenix.
-Do you want to be a voting delegate? The two voting delegates go to
meetings to discuss legislation, then vote on all of the items that come
to the convention floor. We will be voting on who will be our two
 voting delegates on November 5.
-Do you want some other convention job? There are numerous other things
that the brothers running the convention need help with, including
security and running notes between people and committees. More about
this class of task will be sent out later.

Also, at least the two voting delegates, as well as anybody else (either
going to nationals or not going to nationals) should get together after
Tuesday's chapter meeting to find time to discuss the legislation that
was sent out by the national organization, so that the brothers can be
polled about their opinions on various, controversial items, as well as
the more mundane ones. The legislation has not yet arrived here, but
hopefully it will have gotten here by next week.

So, if you are interested in being a voting delegate and/or are interested
in pouring over legislative tidbits, please see me at the next chapter
meeting.
