Being a big brother is cool. It's probably my personal favorite part
of APO stuff. You get to meet someone neat, teach them stuff, and
do stuff with them.

It's also a big responsibility. We will be having a large pledge class
this term. The responsibility for following up with the pledges will
therefore fall primarily on the shoulders of their bigs. Specifically, it
will be your job to:

1- Make sure your little knows about all upcoming service, fellowhip,
and membership activities and report back whether they are coming

2- To keep track of how your little is doing on the pledge
	   requirements

3- To let me know if anything is bothering them

4- Under any circumstances, to be in contact with your
little AT LEAST once a week and

5- To be a member of Memcom

also reccommended is

6- To co-PC something with your little if they ask you to
7- To do something cool and non chapter related with your
little (go to a show, dinner, a walk, whatever)
8- it's a neat tradition to get a small gift for your little
upon initiation (like, say, a $5 APO shirt)-- NOTE: this is
NOT a requirement. DON'T skip being a big because you can't
or don't want to do this one.

I hope we have a lot of people interested in being big brothers-- I'm
hoping to have almost as many pledges as actives! Let me know if you're
interested. You also have to get a bio about yourself in by Friday to
Hannah (if you're not going to PAM, a picture would help too). Also,
let me know if you would be interested in having more then one little
if it comes to that.

	 Ari
