...housewarming! Yes, I know this seems to be an annual event with me,
but since I bought this place...well, I'd better stay put for a while...

You probably want the details:

When: Saturday, October 12, 1996, 8:00 PM (After Shabbat)
Where: 100 Nottinghill Road, #1 // Brighton, MA (617) 787-2026
What: Music, Games, Conversation, House Tours, Eating, and other fun
		things!
Who: You, your family your friends...

Fun or not, this is YOUR chance to check out the place...but it should
be pretty, some come on over! :)

RSVP,by e-mail or phone - (617) 787-2026 - so I know how much food to
buy, preferably by Tuesday of that week (10/8).

Food note: I keep a kosher kitchen (and generally do not accept
"plain-K", "triangle-K", "half-moon-K"). If you wish to bring food,
please check with me first, unless you are sure it is OK.

Directions are below. See you on the 12th!

Larry

Directions (Car):

From Boston/Cambridge:
Memorial Drive West to BU Bridge. Over BU bridge, and take 1st right
onto Commonwealth Avenue. Follow Comm Ave (and the active MBTA tracks).
(The road turns left just past the Star Market on the right.) Go a
little over a mile, past Harvard Ave, round lots of turns, up the hill,
and past Washington Street. After Washington Street, you will pass over
a crest in the hill. After the crest, take a right (it's at a light)
over the crest onto Colborne Road. Follow Colborne around to the left
until you get to a big intersection with a fire pull box in the middle
of it. Take a left at this intersection onto Nottinghill Road. See
note.

From the West:
Mass Pike East to Exit 17 (Newton Corner). Passs the stop sign at the
end of the exit ramp and take the second right onto Park Street. Follow
the Railroad Tracks as the turn onto Tremont Street, into Oak Square.
Keep Following the tracks as they turn onto Washington Street. About
1-1/2 miles from where you got off the Pike will be Brighton Center (a
big intersection with Washington Street (which you are on), Market
Street (to the left), and Chesnut Hill Ave (to the right). Turn right
onto Chesnut Hill Ave, and follow round the turns and up the hill.
After you pass the courthouse (under construction) on your left, you
will pass a tiny grassy area/island on your left. Take the second left
after this island onto Wallingford. On Wallingford, take your first
left (sorry, lost the name of the street), then take your first right
onto Nottinghill. See note.

Note:
Nottinghill road is a one-way loop. Mine is the last house on the
left-hand side (unless you're walking up against the one-way). There
are far more houses on the right than on the left, so #'s 99 and 101 are
not accross the street from #100 - don't let this throw you. Parking is
limited. I don't know how well resident spaces are enforced. If you
need to walk up Nottinghill, take the first left after getting onto the
street, and it's the first hous on the right...

By T:

From Boston, Cambridge, most places:
Take the B (Boston College/Commonwealth Ave) branch of the green line to
the stop which the driver should announce as either "Sutherland" or
"Colborne" - it's the second stop after Washington St. After getting
off, turn right and go towards the back of the platform (back towards
Boston). Cross Comm Ave (without crossing the tracks), and walk up
Colborne Road (north of the tracks). Follow Colborne past on
intersection. Look for Monastery Road on the right. Just before that,
on the left, is "Colborne Path" a pedestrian access for Nottinghill
Road. Take it (which will involve climbing 4 flights of stairs -
sorry!) up to Nottinghill Road. Turn right onto Nottinghill, and cross
the street. Go to #100.
