Hullo all and welcome back (for those of you who recently returned)!
APO Rush has started and, as you know, our Service program is a large part of
that. Open Project 1, a clean-up of the Charles River Area near MIT, is
scheduled for August 29 at noon. Meet in the office at 11:30. It's been
listed in the Daily Confusion (or is it Hitchhiker's Guide??) so we should have
some good turnout.
The work is fairly straightforward: using spikes, and rakes, and bags
to clean up the trash around the river. We're going to try to concentrate on
the area nearest the baanks so that the floating garbage can get cleared up.
They may or may not want to loan us a dinghy, i dunno yet. So, there's a
signup sheet in the office or please reply to me via email, <chashmlt@mit.edu>.
So now the traditional summary:
WHAT: Open Project 1, Chas. River Cleanup
WHEN: 29 August at 11:30 in office
WHO: you and a billion (well, maybe not) prospectives
WHY: Service, silly. and Rush, too.
YiLFS,
charley
