Hi. It's almost July 4th, and you should be coming to the
Esplanade to hang out. The very early strike force will be meeting very
early and hauling their butts over the river to find us a nice spot on the
shore. The following are a few bits of information you should know.
The APO Pledge Manual says:
Fulton's Folly: A traditional social function where brothers and
friends go to the Esplanade for the Fourth of July fireworks show and
Boston Pops performance. Ask John Fulton (mold) or Dave Cho about the
name....
To find us on the Esplanade:
If you're coming from the Harvard bridge, turn toward the Longfellow
(Salt and Pepper Shaker) bridge. If you're coming from Charles T
station, go toward the Harvard bridge. Follow the paths on the
Esplanade. If the path forks, take the side closest to the water.
Look for people you know. :)
Things to bring:
FOOD for the kindly people finding us space very early in the morning.
FOOD for you.
FOOD for everyone (if you want).
DRINKS for the same.
SUNSCREEN so you don't get fried.
HAT if you don't want to fry the top of your head.
ALOE in case you do.
BLANKETS to lay on, make into pillows, claim space with, etc.
STUFF TO DO all day while you lay in the sun. Games, books, whatever.
FLASHLIGHTS so we can clean up our mess afterward. (If you are
Matt Braun, you should bring your spiffy light from last year.)
YiLazy days in the sun,
Falling asleep instead of working, and
Singing with the Pops,
