People,
Here's a late-breaking reminder on the details of this Saturday's
(June 29) Section 96 Picnic.
Where: Douglas State Park, Douglas MA. I will send directions to
anyone who asks (which also means I can get some idea of how many
people are showing up)
When: 10AMish until people leave. The earlier you arrive, the
better the parking space you'll get...
Food: I will provide (and solicit donations to pay for):
- Paper goods, plastic utensils, etc.
- Charcoal, grill utensils, foil, etc.
- Condiments for burgers, hot dogs
- Some quantity of side dishes (garden salad, potato salad,
and the like)
NOTE: The more RSVPs I get, the more I'll buy
- Some quantity of burger & hot dog roll
NOTE: Ditto above note
- Large quantities of bug juice fixings and some pitchers
You should provide:
- Whatever entree/meat you prefer
- Any special condiments you need (e.g. BBQ sauce)
- Additional sides and/or dessert items
- Any other special food you want to bring (and perhaps
share)
Other: Douglas State Park has a beach, so wear/bring swimwear, as
well as frisbees, etc.
Costs: 1) Getting there
2) Parking (was free last year, but this is MA state
property and the rules may have changed)
3) Donations for common food
