(This was initially posted to apo-pftgoto, but since then, I've had one
person ask me about it, so let's try a wider broadcast.)
Marcus: Should it rain, which it won't, I'll be punting and hopefully we
can scramble into a car at some point Sat morning/afternoon. If it doesn't
rain, which it won't, we'd appreciate some car-space to have our gear
ferried up there, since it would suck hard to have to do it ourselves.
Jonathon Weiss and I are planning on biking up to camp resolute for 60th.
Never mind the weather; it'll be nice. :) Carolyn Phillips is interested
in joining us. If you are too, that'd be cool -- drop us (dcctdw, jweiss)
a line.
Overall, the trip is about 30-35 miles, mostly uphill to Resolute. Plan on
a 4-6 hour trip, depending on the conditions of the worst bike and cyclist.
My plans are to leave w20 steps by 10:00am on Saturday. Jonathon is
waffling between leaving Friday afternoon and Saturday morning due to
weather and giving his wimpy legs a rest before the return trip. :)
(Jonathon, if you leave Friday afternoon, you can probably convince Charley
to go with you.)
