Hi everyone. There is a possible project this saturday, the 20th with
MIT Circle K and a group from Amherst (as well as PMD, I believe).
The description of the project is in the forwarded message. It sounds like
it is a LOT like our pledge project the day after, April 21st. So I think
that most people will go to one or the other. I think that it would be really
cool to have a good turnout for the pledge project but if you can't make
sunday or are incredibly psyched to do the project with Circle K and Amherst,
please contact me by Wednesday. Thanks.

YiLFS,
Junko

I don't know if you have received Chris Tang and MIT Circle K's recent
e-mail about our upcoming project this Saturday, April 20 at the
Franklin Park Zoo. We would really like for this project to be
intercollegiate, so that both MIT and Amherst students can get a
chance to exchange thoughts and ideas about community service.

My question to you, (I realize this is *incredibly* short notice) is
whether the MIT APO chapter would be interested in joining us in
this service project. We need to get names of interested students
into the organization we're working with on Wednesday. Right now,
we're aiming for 30 total students -- 15 from each school. We can
probably cover our end, but MIT Circle K has only come with 5 so far.
I apologize for writing to you so late, but is there anyway that
you could send an e-mail out to your members about the project and
see if they are interested.

The project is once again on Saturday, April 20 from 9:30am to 12:30pm
at the Franklin Park Zoo. And we'll be raking, weeding, mulching,
cleaning, rain or shine. After that we'll be having lunch together
(ask your folks to bring some $ for lunch) and then from 1:30pm
to 4pm, we have icebreakers and games that will help both groups
bond and get to know one another. And also some questions about
service to provoke some thought! So, it'll be a full day lasting
until 4:30 or so. I am looking so forward to Saturday!!! And getting
out and doing some service work.

Please e-mail me back telling me whether you're interested and I'll
definitely understand if you feel this is on too short notice. But
thanks anyway, but I hope we'll be able to work together sometime
in the fall if not this time!

Chris Tsang, Amherst College Outreach
