I think one thing to be careful of is having committments that people can't
make. (Gosh, that's poorly worded.) Namely, if "brothers in general" feel
that "they should have office hours", then this creates a subtle problem:
1. Perhaps brother X just doesn't want to -- no time, no
inclination, etc.
2. They might start feeling guilty that they aren't doing this
minimal effort.
3. Thus, they might be less inclined to be around the chapter.
I think Richard's idea of "quiet office hours" is quite novel. For
starters, it encourages tooling. :) More importantly, it's a more open
way to have office hours. Of course, if everyone decides to tool at
home...
